Power ON/OFF

• Power ON: Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds then release. You will see the power button LED turn on.
• Power OFF: Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds then release. You will see the power button LED turn

SIMD/SD Card Installation

1. Remove the SIM/SAM cover located at the back of the device
2. Insert card into the correct slot 
3. Replace the cover

Load Printer Paper

1. When the printer is out of paper, the yellow "Paper Out" indicator lights. The device will also loudly and politely tell you there is no paper. Press the button on the left of the printer to open the cover.
   
   
2. Open the built-in printer cover by pressing the latch.
   
3. Load the paper roll into the compartment and extend the end of the paper out of the printer. The are images inside the printer paper bay to show you the correct way to load the paper. You'll want the end of the paper on the top of the roll.
   
4. Close the printer cover. The indicator light will turn off once it is properly installed.

Hybrid Card Reader (Pax Q20)

The Q20 on the consumer-facing side of the E800 includes a reader that can be used as a Magnetic Stripe, EMV, and NFC/Contactless card reader.

• Magnetic Stripe Card
  To use the Magnetic Stripe Reader, insert the card into the reader slot located on the top of the Q20. The terminal reads the information from the card when the magnetic stripe is inserted into the card slot.
• EMV/Smart Card Reader
  To use the EMV Card Reader, insert the card with the front facing you and the chip down into the card slot. Leave the card inserted until the terminal prompts to remove the card.
• Contactless Card Reader
  

  To use the NFC/Contactless Reader, tap the card to the Q20 screen when prompted. The terminal uses an antenna device that detects and retrieves information from the card.

Cleaning the Pax E800 Device

• Do not use industrial strength or abrasive cleaner as it may damage or scratch the screen.
• Do not immerse the device in water or liquid.
• Do not spray water or cleaner into EMV Card Reader or ports.
• To clean the screen, apply distilled water or mild glass cleaner onto a soft, lint-free cloth and gently wipe terminal.

Connecting the Pax E800 to Internet

1. On the main display, tap the  ⃝    to get to the home screen.
2. Tap the settings ⚙ icon
3. Enter the password pax9876@@
4. For WiFi tap WiFi & follow prompts to choose your network and enter the password
5. For Ethernet tap Ethernet and ensure that it is toggled to the ON position
