Sometimes it is necessary to perform a file update on a Pax Q30. Unlike other Pax models, the Q30 has to "pull" the update as opposed to it being "pushed" to the terminal from the estate management envrionment.
Common Reasons for an App Update to a Pax Q30
- Parameter updates like managed network access, static IPs, or merchant details
- Password expiration when using TSYS MultiPass
How to Update a Pax Q30
- From the idle screen press the green button and the number 1 on the keypad at the same time
- Enter the password - typically today's date in DDMMYYYY format
- Select System
- Select App Management
- Select App Update
Note: You may have to enter a password one or more times during this process. The password is always the same as the one that allowed you to access this menu.
