Before you start, confirm that you have connected your kitchen printer to the Acadia Router.
Step 1: Obtain Your Printer's IP Address
- Ensure your printer is plugged into both power and ethernet and that the ethernet cable connects to the Acadia Router.
- If your printer is powered on, turn it off.
- Press and hold the FEED button and power on your printer.
- Hold the FEED button until your printer prints
- On the bottom of the page you will see your IP address
Step 2: Adjust Printer Network Settings
- Go to a web browser on a device connected to the Acadia network and enter the IP address from Step 1.
- When prompted to log in:
- The username is root
- The password is public
- Go to System Configuration on the left menu. This may require you to change the password one time.
- Enable #9100 Multisession
- Enable TCP Keep Alive
- Scroll down to bottom and click Submit
- Ensure Save --> Configuration printing --> Restart Device is highlighted
- Click Execute
- The printer will reboot and print. Move to step 3.
Step 3: Configure Printer in Acadia POS
- Log into your Acadia POS back end by going to rfsm.acadiapos.com
- Click Settings
- Click Devices
- Click + New Device
- Name the printer whatever you'd like (i.e. Kitchen Printer 1 or Grill Station Printer)
- Choose IP address
- Enter anything in MAC (only important when connecting via Bluetooth)
- Choose Star TSP650 Ethernet from the list
- Enter the IP address
- No drawer
- No Buzzer
- Click Save
- Assign location
- Click Link
Step 4: Assign the Kitchen Printer to Workstations
- In the same devices area of your Acadia POS back end, find the workstation you want to print to that kitchen printer.
- Click Params
- Under Hardware Setup click Kitchen Printer 1 and choose your new printer
- Click Save
- Do this for each of your workstations you want to print to this kitchen printer.
